Graham Hill Scrapbook 1929 - 1966
Auto Restorer
December, 2007
"These are scrapbooks, not conventional biographies, and they're filled with snapshots, professional photos and pressclippings from family collections. There also are personal insights and anecdotes on nearly every page supplied by family, friends, fellow racers and title characters themselves."
"... consider this recollection from Graham Hill on the drawbacks of running in Dutch Grand Prix with only partial brakes: "It didn't take me long to find out what was wrong-the next time I put my foot on the brake pedal, there were practically no brakes. Apparently the inboard rear brakes had got so hot that the seal had melted and the fluid had gone straight onto the hot discs...But I continued driving on with just the front brakes and finished, although well down the field."
