"Philip Porter's Graham Hill Scrapbook 1929 - 1966 is a browse-worthy coffe-table book.  By process of accretion, though, it paints a vivid portrait of one of tyhe last English eccentrics in racing, a man of great humor, generosity and sprit who is still the only driver to have won a Formula One championship, Le Mans and the Indy 500.  Porter's book is studded with excerpts from interviews with Hill's friends and contemporaries and also from long-out-of-print autobiographies.
