Cars for the Connoisseur

Prolific author and Jaguar enthusiast Philip Porter has produced yet another book on the marque in the same successful format as his Stirling Moss Scrapbooks of 1955 and 1961, both of which I enjoyed so much. Amazingly, he has come up with fresh material in the form of interviews and previously unseen styling sketches, period memos and contemporary photos and cuttings. Laid out a chapter per decade one can either read it in chronological order or dip in and out of it. Another winner from the Porter stable.

Issue 71: January 2007
