A Profile of Philip Porter

Philip Porter Is the author of over 25 motoring books. In a writing career that has spanned over 25 years, he has won the coveted Guild of Motoring Writers Montagu Trophy, for best motoring book of the year, twice: for Jaguar E-type - The Definitive History and for Sir William Lyons - The Official Biography (co-written with Paul Skilleter).  Recent works include four books with Sir Stirling Moss (The Stirling Moss Scrapbooks: 1929-54, 1955, 1956-60 & 1961) and one with Murray Walker. Non motoring books include publishing Stage Whispers, The Memoirs of Douglas Wilmer and co-writing the Barry Cryer Scrapbook. He has written about 15 Jaguars books and his latest is Ultimate E-type - The Competition Cars.
