"The Jaguar Lightweight E-type was fantastic and I cannot wait for the following titles. Many congratulations on a great new series."
I want to let you know that I received my order of the beautiful E-type Definitive History… It is a gorgeous book, beautifully authored and produced. It is the perfect accompaniment to my lovely, newly restored, Series II (1970)!
You had asked for feedback. I am delighted.
My copy of The Iconic Jaguar XK arrived just in time for a business / family return flight from Melbourne to Sydney.
Congratulations! The articles and photography are just superb.
One article, in particular, “The Red Car” captured my imagination and ‘mirrored’ my feelings about personalising an XK to suit your own motoring requirements and helped to ease my conscience.
“The Colonel” was, indeed, a most particular gentleman regarding the building of his XK special.
I have included many modifications to my webasto XK150-S FHC such as power steering and air-conditioning etc. which, after 13 long years of one dreadful restoration and the last 5 years a superb restoration has now been achieved. I believe it was all worth the wait…but my wife will require further persuasion.
I just wanted to thank you for sending the book I ordered online so quickly.
Given I am in Australia, I had thought it would take a long time to arrive but not so!!
Kind Regards, Lis
“What a great book! It’s a very honest account of a very interesting life. Martin’s inimitable style comes across throughout and it was fascinating to read the thoughts of some of the other characters whose paths have crossed Martin’s during his long and varied career. Any book that manages to be entertaining, informative, insightful and amusing all at the same time has to be doing something right. It’s a must for every racing fan’s coffee table”.
My Martin Brundle Scrapbook has just been delivered. Thank you very much again for having it signed for me.
My sincere thanks as well for your first-class service – it’s always a pleasure to deal with such a helpful company.
Thank you for the prompt shipping of the Original XK book. It took only 4 days to the west coast of the USA.
Although I have many XK books (I once owned a XK140 FHC), including ‘XK 120 Explored’, and both volumes of Urs Schmidt’s work, I think your revised edition beats them all.
I really like the pictures of XK’s details before restorations (J.D Classics?) that give hope to a great future of the XK classic.
Thank you again.
And best wishes for you and your books.
Willi Hochgraeber, Oregon, USA
Just to let you know that I’ve just received my book (E-type Jaguar DIY Restoration & Maintenance – A Kind of Loving) – Thank you.
I have to say that I am very pleased with the book – it is much bigger than I thought!
An excellent publication.
Best regards ~
On January 3rd I ordered the Porsche 911 scrapbook, on January 4th you told me that a discount of £15.00 will be applied to my credit card, and the refund was applied to my credit card – thanks! On January 9th the book was at my home – Wow, Incredible!
Your service is as fast as a turbo Carrera .
Wonderful book, wonderful pictures, wonderful quality .
Thank you for this ‘’ Top Quality ‘’ service and product .

I read and examined the book Original Jaguar XK with much attention. I think the work made is very accurate and exhaustive.
My best regards, Fausto Mazzitelli (Savona, Italy)
A short note to say how pleased I am with my new book Ultimate E-Type, I would be obliged if you would pass on my personal congratulations to Philip. It is, without doubt, the finest reference book in my (very large) collection. I have been making large scale models of all types of historic racing cars for well over 20 years and naturally rely heavily on books such as this – I just wish it had been published several years ago!
Again, thank you – this is, without any doubt, The Ultimate E-Type Book.
With kind regards, Javan Smith
I just wanted to let you know my book arrived yesterday Wednesday 14th (New Zealand)
Very impressed with the time it took to arrive and also the packaging.
And the book is a great read too
Many thanks, Al
Dear Philip and Julie
Thanks for the very generous bag of reading material. I hadn’t realised how wide-ranging your publishing is: Deborah kept laughing out loud at the Barry Cryer scrapbook.
All in all, a fine Saturday.
Many thanks for your rapid response and dispatch of my order.
First class service.
Dear Philip and Julie,
The book Philip is a superb revelation of all things XK and congratulations on such a detailed production which is difficult to put down for those of us with the XK affliction!!
Just to advise you that the two books I ordered arrived this afternoon in excellent condition.
My sincere thanks to Philip Porter for signing each copy, and I am sure the gentleman who is restoring my XK150S will be as thrilled as I am to have this wonderful edition in his library.
My congratulations to Philip on a unique publication!
Melbourne – Australia
I received my copy of the newest edition last week and can’t put it down. It is an incredible achievement and certainly the new bible for those of us who have or expect to undertake a XK restoration. Congratulations and thank you. I now know what I’ll be giving for Christmas presents to all my XK friends this year.
My only complaint is that it arrived within a week of the successful completion of my year long XK150 FHC restoration. She is now prepped and ready for judging at The Quail in Monterery next month.
“Everyone I have showed it to is champing at the bit to get a copy. It will certainly be the major reference work for years to come.”
Terry McGrath, Jaguar author and world-renowned originality expert
My copy of Original Jaguar XK… arrived today, safely delivered by the FedEx delivery guy. Thanks for the lightning-fast processing and shipping, and especially thank you for Phillip’s signature on the frontspiece. I was not expecting that, it is a pleasant surprise.
This third edition is indeed a work of art and an encyclopedia of XK knowledge.
British Sports Book Awards
GoMW Chairman Richard Aucock: “Philip’s book was a clear winner. This is the first time the Guild has been involved with the British Sports. Book Awards and we are delighted the inaugural prize has gone to such an impressive title.”
Congratulations. Great achievement with so much competition around you from so many classic car authors.
I am in awe at this absolute masterpiece. it goes off the kitchen scales but must weigh in at about 2.5 kilos, and all I can say is that there is not a wasted word. I have skimmed it and am now re-reading it properly, but I suggest that you up the price and supply a book lectern with each copy! It has also come in very handy as a reference point on the new Mike Wrigley car which I saw at Silverstone and which has the original long nose. I have no idea if you have seen this photo, but here are all four reunited for the first time in forty years at RS Panels with the new shell.
My felicitations to you, and I have mentioned it as highly recommended in articles both in South Africa and Australia. It is worth every penny, and like others of the same ilk will, I am sure and certain, be found in years to come at exorbitant prices when the print run is finished.
Just finished Ultimate E-type- the Competition cars.
Thoroughly enjoyed it – an incredible amount of research obviously went into it which I guess you must have enjoyed – at least when it was finished!
Although not a Jaguar nut ( more GT40, I have a Mk V ), I remember the lightweight E’s in period, especially Graham Hill, Roy Salvadori, and more locally, Roger Mac and Dick Protheroe.
I hope it gets you “Book of the Year” accolade – if there is one. It certainly gets mine.
